Are there any changes in polarisation effects when using the cmotion Cinefade VariND?

There are no changes in polarisation effects, such as reflections in glass and changes in blue skies when using the cmotion Cinefade VariND in Cinefade mode.

The cmotion Cinefade VariND consists of a Motorised Polariser, which sits inside the matte box closest to the lens and a Static Polariser, which sits closest to the subject. In this arrangement there are no changes in polarisation effects.

If the position inside the matte box of the two polarising filters is switched however, so that the first filter slot closest to the lens is occupied by the Static Polariser and the second filter slot is occupied by the Motorised Polariser, the changes in polarisation effects become visible when rotating the Motorised Polariser.

Either option is possible.

Remove the Static Polariser and only insert the Motorised Polariser to activate RotaPola mode. This allows you to remotely control polarisation from the cPRO hand unit, for example when shooting cars from a Russian Arm setup or whenever the camera is out of reach.
