What is the initial light loss of the cmotion Cinefade VariND?

The initial light loss of the cmotion Cinefade VariND is 1.5 stops when both the Motorised Polariser and Static Polariser are inserted at full light transmission (ND0.4). It is then possible to achieve a 5+ stop Cinefade range or dynamically adjustable variable ND range. To achieve a ‘good’ exposure with a light meter reading an exposure compensation of 1.5 T-stops is necessary.

When using only the Motorised Polariser, the initial light loss is one stop and an exposure compensation of 1 T-stop is necessary to obtain a ‘good’ exposure.
